Hi,

I have a mobile phone contract with e2save.com which has expired. I want to change contract to a different company on the same network though and keep my orginal number as it is also for work. Please could someone tell me is this is possible.

Thanks

Hi mate, all you need is to request your PAC code (Porting Authorisation Code), then you give that code to your new retailer/dealer and that gives them permission from your old network /dealer to transfer your number over.

Not sure how long the transfer process takes, it varies from network to network.

not sure how he means changing dealers but on the same network. If you are staying on the same network you can't 'port', porting means leaving the network not changing contracts on the same network. If the underlying network is the same will probably need to port out to a PAYG supplier i.e. Virgin, then back in

You can port out and back in, but you can also port within sometimes.

I ported from Vodafone singlepoint (from phones4u) to normal Vodafone retail, took a week and they needed my pac code from singlepoint.

Now they are merged under Vodafone, but it can be done.
