I got one over Christmas after reading reviews on here http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews11951.html and Amazon were doing a good offer at the time.
I think it's a decent phone. I occasionally have problems trying to get the battery to charge but that could be my phone or a dodgy battery.
I miss the spare battery I got with my last phone (Samsung A300) but I know it's usual to only have one battery supplied with the phone. I did however, get a spare for the V500 quite cheaply from Ebay.
This phone has been around for a while now but must be OK to not have been discontinued as yet. This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Actually the V500 is a super phone. My wife's had one for a year and uses it for extensive texting. Also done some gprs web browsing, email etc. Pretty flawless apart from not excellent battery life.
So good she's not even keen on changing to something new. v3 is nice/sexy to be fair, 3g phones have some interesting services, but if you can get it cheap, I'd recommend. What goes around - comes around

Oh - I don't like the v220. One just arrived. didn't want the phone, we wanted a 12 months free contract 100+100... the phone may get used by son or put in ebay -- wife sticking with V500. Far far superior screen, quicker, pc sync etc. v220 looks tacky/cheap & small screen. *BUT* I guess it's ok as "just a phone"What goes around - comes around
