there is a user who has been sacked from her job at a bank due to comments (actually positive!) she made on this site. She did make various comments in other posts which led her to be fairly identifiable by her employers but still, it is a lesson to be learned. Make sure you don't go identifying yourself or your friend in future posts!

I have had someone complain to the regulator about comments I made in the past. It was thrown out and treated as frivolous as the person used selective copy and pasting and attributed comments to me that others had made. They were able to see the whole thread in context. I was also given a pat on the back for getting involved in discussion but also warned to be careful as there are people around that seem to have a sole purpose in life to cause trouble for others.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
