I ordered the same batfink hoodie and got this email on the 4th:We are sorry that you have not yet received your recent order.
This item was only available in limited quantities and all stock has now

I suspect that they have cancelled my order also , but why lie to me and hang up on me for wanting to know what is going on ?
they certainly never sent me an e mail
Incidentally I rang back straight away to complain about being hung up on and ask to speak to a manager
surprise surprise, none were available to speak to me at that time but I would get a ring back in a few hours......... still waiting:rolleyes:
so the moral is if you expect any level of customer care dont use PLAY.COM0 -
OP, I ordered this same hoodie and on checking my account yesterday I saw it had been cancelled without any notification to myself - now I KNOW I didn't cancel it!
Play are usually very good, I shop with them a lot BUT what really annoys me is you have no way of contacting them via email, you have to phone them. They need to make contact much easier, it really isn't a customer-friendly way that they operate!0 -
Play seem to have gone downhill recently . I've been buying from them since 1999 and never had a problem until recently . Ordered a camera case and they delivered the wrong one 3 times . Had to send it back each time and had to phone quite a few times to get the full postage cost refunded . Call centre staff were'nt interested and/or didnt have a clue .
Think I'll be ordering from elsewhere in future .0 -

You're actually the first person I know of to buy a laptop from play without a problem (so it still puts you in a very small minority from my POV). The two people I know in real life to order laptops from them had complete nightmare problems and I've seen quite a few people on these very forums that had identical problems to those. Personally I'd now be reluctant to buy anything expensive from play now that I know they're not covered by UK consumer laws."She is quite the oddball. i bought a digital camera worth £80 from them,never had a problem with anything from play.com and spent £100,s with themLive in my shoes for a week,then tell me your lifes hard!0
