You could write a letter of complaint to Lloyds and say they are being inconsistant as another of their departments has accepted payments and froze interest and you would appreciate them doing the same.

Eventually they will accept payments - I am suprised actually I was the other way round credit cards accepted within a couple of months and it took me 9 months to get the overdraft accepted!

    Thanks Rayday for your reply

just before i started with CCCS i had a balance on a credit card with M&S of £700 it was when i was sorting out a new bank account ,i opened a bank account with HSBC when i discovered that M&S & HSBC are conected so i told CCCS i was doing this i transfered the £700 which i owed to M&S onto my Lloyds credit card .What i am trying to say is it probely does not look to good that i have only just 2 months ago done a balance tranfer then now i am saying i cannot pay .

I have no idea whether this is the case i was just wondering whether maybe this is why they have rejected my offer .

I wouldn't give them excuses or cop outs or even the benefit of good reasoning - if one department has accepted the other should! It may not look good but the month before I went on my I bought a new pc! (I don't like Lloyds much!)

You just don't have the extra cash whether they like it or not. You have nothing to loose from penning a letter and if someone else gets it they may view the account differently.

Most companies if they didn't want the originals will photocopy and return them. I wouldn't worry - and don't worry about replies either basically a token payment is just to shut them up and prove you are struggling so its worked if you don't hear from them!

Got my first finger wagging letter from Egg today :(

Default Notice saying if I don't pay the arreas/overlimit on my Egg Card by mid April they'll start proceedings against me or instruct hired goons to come and break my kneecaps.

So got a phone call to Egg and CCCS tomorrow to explain and like ailsajayne27 said, doing it in an office aint exactly my idea of fun. I can go out the office and use my mobile, but I'm pay as you go which makes a 5 minute phone call about the same as the Paul McCartney/Heather Mills divorce payout

Apparently if you phone CCCS around the time one of the big soaps are on in the evening you get through - if that helps.

You do realise that is just a standard letter which is sent out to anyone whether they are trying to pay or not - all part of the game but ringing CCCS will put your mind at rest.

i have now completed all my paperwork for cccs and all letters to creditors(11 of them) and will be sending it all off tomorrow along with my application for a new bank account.
i feel really positive now ut i just have a few niggling thoughts,

what is going to stop creditors sending bailiffs round?
and what if creditors dont play game and i just end up further in debt?

    i'm probably just being daft.
    cheers

Baliffs cannot come round without a court order unless it is a legal debt like council tax.

Debt baliiffs would only call if you had a CCJ which you had not paid, then it would go back to court and then baliffs could come round all of which you would have notice of.

Very few companies keep charging, hardly any of us on here have experienced that, most of us get suspended interest, or sent on to a DCA who you treat exactly the same as a creditor and have no more powers and they accept lower payments. A few have had companies that lower interest rather than stop it and the stubborn very few keep charging.

If you are the chance in a million that you have a company that keep charging you interest you can actually take them to court.

But you are jumping way ahead of yourself. Take things day by day and if they come up. So those niggles are way out of line but hopefully I have attempted to put them in some sort of context for you.

There are over 150 people in here and you hardly see any of us because most of us have now forgot we have a DMP we just send the payments each month and forget about it!

Thanks rayday. I know it's a standard letter that's probably auto sent without a real person looking at the situation - but it's still pretty scarey when you receive one. I'm sure by the 3rd or 4th I'll be calm about them :rotfl:
