Today I had leftover spag bol for lunch at work today. Normally spend about £4 in bakers on stodgy filled roll and bottle of pop.
I felt really organised last night, served spag bol for me and my other half, also served into lunch box, bowl for our 2 year old for his lunch tomorrow and in a bowl for my lunch tomorrow. Spag bol 3 days in a row? Who cares? It's cheap and fairly healthy.

Applied for makro card through work (they phoned up saying we were eligible for an account). Only downside is there are none really nearby.

Filled the car up with petrol from the cheapest petrol station on my route home.
  • I made my own lunch and made dinner out of the cupboard. I havent spent for two days now. I will spend a little tomorrow as its market day but i think i will limit myself to £15.

Gained £120 from my house mate for a bill the other week. It was so long ago now it doesnt feel related! :)

  • Today I have:
    • [strike]Use work mileage to subsidise shopping trip[/strike] Yes
    • [strike]Do top-up shop for the next fortnight from cash budget[/strike] Yes
    • [strike]Aim to spend NONE of wages received today -apart from dds and sos- live on cash in hand for the next two weeks[/strike] Yes
    • [strike]transfer all excess wages to kitchen 'pot' and update kitchen fund balances[/strike] Yes
    • [strike]join up to the gym again, using money saved in pot account[/strike] Yes - and deals for 2008 have been restructured, saving me €40 - so that goes straight into the pot for the kitchen
    • Mealplanner dinner No- by the time I finished work and the kids got back from swimming, it was too late to cook, so we had hm veg soup and bread... so dinner money goes straight to pot account for kitchen
    • Update spending diary - which has fallen by the wayside this week:rolleyes: Just about to now!
    • [strike]Get laundry sorted tonight so that I'm not swamped with wet clothes at weekend[/strike] Yes - first load on, next load ready, should get two more loads done in the morning, now fingers crossed for a few dry, windy hours tomorrow!
That's it, I hope everyone had a great day!

Gym deal really cheered me up - not only did I save on the renewal, but managed to get ds signed up for free :T
