Made thrifty cheese pudding for lunch with a few brussel sprouts
Paid loads of bills (well, installments)
Phoned A&L and sorted out problem they had created switching wrong account
Only topped my mobile up with £5 instead of £10 - and see how far I can stretch that
Worked out how many bus trips I need to make for work this month and calculated that it would not be a saving to buy the usual bus pass - so will pay as I go
Got Iceland extra mature cheddar cheaper than Co-op not as tasty - but at least I tried
Filled in the on-line spending diary
Went to the library and borrowed more books
Debt free by 22 January 2009 - thanks to an unexpected inheritance - take heart - it DOES HAPPEN!

  • Thanks for reminding us it's the small steps that count!:D

    Today I will:
    1. See what we have in the cupboards for dinner rather than getting home late and buying takeaway
    2. Plan meals for the rest of the week based on what we have.
    3. Plan for next week too and buy online with mysupermarket.com to stop me impulse buying (delivery tues/wed is cheapest)
    4. check bank online to make sure i'm on track
    5. Start a £2 pot!

This may spread into tomorrow, but hey ho!....:A

    I have
    - shopped for essentials at Lidl
    - went into town to meet a friend, I parked miles away where it was free and walked into town
    - resisted temptation to spend money in town
    - changed some holiday spending money to US $ so I dont spend it before I go
    - will check online banking
    - might get round to listing on ebay tonight, I keep putting it off
  • I've taken pictures of clothes to sell on ebay (had a sort out to decide what we are taking to new house). Not listing til Sunday evening, as I find thats the optimum time to end auctions.
  • I don't think i have done anything slightly money saving at all today. I had a bit of a big spend day but it was all for DS2 who will be 1 tomorrow.

    I spent:
£2.50 on banners, £2.50 on a big helium balloon, £3.60 on sweets from Farmfoods (i.e loads), £2 on 24 packs of crisps, and £2.40 on 3 pizzas

On the plus side, i have made Hartleys suger free jelly in both strawberry and orange and i will be making crispy cakes and pancakes tomorrow so it should balance itself out.

I did get the chance to do online banking
    piggy clicks
    charged my phone at work
    made dinner from meal planner
took lunch with me to work
