I found myself locked out on the first attempt yesterday. And previous to that, it did not recognise my memorable words etc. I rang and they told me there were IT problems due to the new customers. System could not cope. I did not ask why.

I also like ABN-AMRO online, which is accessible in two languages (Dutch and English) and uses a gadget to produce a password every time you log in. So very safe. Never locked me out. A wonderful bank before the unfortunate mishaps of last year.

I think we'd better leave this discussion now. We appear to be getting nowhere and I'm feel a little dismissed.

Some Dutch banks are much better in terms of online banking security, the device you're talking about is a Token. The token produces a random number but you still need to know your password. Much better security than what most banks have, only reason why I think that the banks over here don't use Tokens is to keep costs down.

BTW I too have had problems accessing my Icesave account @ 14:00

I don't suppose you are using an alternate bowser such as Opera? Not all sites are optimised for Opera, I have found that in Sainsbuy's bank for instance I can logon, view my account etc, but if I try to setup a payment mandate I cannot, have to use IE for that.
Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!
