Best way to ring home from Holiday

I have now got accounts with 18866 and 1899 on my home phone.
I've got my caller saver box from orchid electronix and I'm making great savings.
But, I'm now due to go on holiday with my orange contract mobile and I dont know the best way to ring the UK from France.

Should I just use Orange Fr and ring straight through or is there some 0808 or similar freephone number to use the existing 18899 or 1899 account from France ?

Can anyone here advise?

If you are ringing from a landline, you can use sister companies Telerabais or Telesoldes, which are equivalent to 1899 and Telediscount (I can't remember which is which - a Search on MSE would find my previous posts about these)

from your mobile, the best option if you intend to make a lot of calls would be to get a local SIM card - unlock your phone - and use a callback service, as French networks charge about 50p per minute for calls to UK; callback would cost about 15p/min.
