Simple - don't use gmail at all then. You can't turn the spam filter off, so you will need to check it once a week to make sure it hasn't caught anything genuine.

Hardly difficult and saves having to use mailwasher.

I have my home page set as iGoogle, where you can have a direct link to Googlemail so its easy enough to remember occasionally. I love iGoogle because there are so many different things you can add/remove - a "photo of the day", the time and date, news headline, even a spider crawling round the screen :eek:

And if you have a recent version of IE or Firefox that supports tabbed browsing, and you already have a preferred home page, you could just add iGoogle as a second home page ...
