Hi,
I have a Kenwood BM250 Breadmaker which makes lovely bread except for the wholemeal mix (programme 3). No matter what I try the bread never seems to rise and when I added white flour it rose up but then sunk back before the bread was finished? Any suggestions on how to make nice wholemeal bread that rises using the machine would be great!
Many thanks, Tony

There are quite a few troubleshooting threads listed in the link below which may be of help...

Hi Aliens
I had the BM200 for around 6 years before I wore it out, and have to confess that I never got a decent 100% wholemeal out of it. They always sank and had a craggy top. Have you tried a 50/50 mixture on the white programme? Not the same, but you might find it works - it did for me. You can then play with the ratio of wholemeal to white flour.
The troubleshooting guide will say its something like too much water or too much yeast, so it might be worth having a tinker with the quantities of these - but, again, I didn't have any luck at all with this.
