Reading my Capital One statement there is something that implies that Capital One offer AMEX cards as well as Visa and Mastercard.richardmk wrote:Lloyds and Nectar have paired with American Express (they charge higher charge to retailer which covers cashback cost). So maybe there will be a MINT American Express cardTwo Ways to Live
Which way will you choose? "... as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."0 -
the statement says you'll get any money accrued paid back in your August statement.....hmmmm looks like I'll be in credit, as I'm paying the balance in full....0% is ending
have to find the card to make a little purchase on it!!! 0 -
Also to warn, it's not just the Cash Advance rate that is being put up along with the withdrawal of the cashback, the Standard Rate is going up to an equivalent of 17.892%.0

blimey, glad I've got the total required to pay it off!!!0

I was annoyed to see that MINT were stopping 'Cashback',
well, I'll be cancelling as soon as I get my August statement.

I hadn't notice this on my statement - I'm miffed.
I do all my day to day purchases on this card and clear the balance every month. I've currently earned over £25+ cashback and once I've had this credited in August, I'll simply stop using it. Unless they offer some other incentive for me to say, ie. 9 months 0% balance transfer (Can but hope), I'll be looking to ditch it.

I noticed this thread yesterday, and decided to ring to cancel my Mint card this morning, after much debate with the accounts supervisor I was offered a 6 month 0% BT rate with no fees. Haggle folks it seems a lot of people have been trying to close accounts because of the removal of cashback.0

I noticed it on my statement aswell. I always pay my balance off in full every month, so when I get my cashback in August, I will be cancelling my card and looking elsewhere.

You guys may want to consider the Conran card, recommended some time ago on this website. They pay an annual bonus that usually works out to be 1% - shame that their website is currently down though.PLEASE DO NOT STEAL

Tom, was that just 6 months 0% on BT or was it also on purchases?Tom_Jones wrote:I noticed this thread yesterday, and decided to ring to cancel my Mint card this morning, after much debate with the accounts supervisor I was offered a 6 month 0% BT rate with no fees.
