Someone suggested writing an email to the CEO. What did you put in yours? Is the e-mail address safe? CEO@santander.co.uk
I just don't want to give my details to any plonkers;).
Thanks for your help,
Agav

Fortunately, I have not had cause to complain about my recent ISA transfer to Santander, but if you do a search for that email address on this part of the forum you will see the results others have had from using it recently.

7th April 2012 opened 2 cash ISAs with Santander via ISA transfers from Halifax

1st ISA transfer not completed until 9 weeks later

2nd ISA transfer still not complete 12.5 weeks later and both forms were filled in by the same person at the same time in the Santander branch

Numerous phone calls chasing.

Wrote to customer svcs 16th June and Complaints dept 21st June. No reply to either letter.

A complete shambles.

Hi Juddster

Try emailing to CEO Ana Botin, Santander UK chief executive at

CEO@santander.co.uk

Give full details such as dates, account numbers, etc.

Also, I am sure you will be able to claim loss of the higher interest from either HBOS or Santander since they failed to transfer your cash within a specified time.

See this page:

http://www.bba.org.uk/media/article/...ansfer-guideli

Download the two PDF booklets for more information: "Cash ISA Transfer Guidelines - July 2011" and "Isatransfer"

You can contact the FSA to help if Santander and/or HBOS don't play ball and get it sorted out ASAP.

I'm pretty sure this is OK to do, but the more I think about it the more I doubt myself!

I have a cash ISA with Halifax and would like to transfer to Santander as my yearly bonus is coming to an end. I have used £4640 of this year's allowance which I put into Halifax in April meaning that I have £1000 left to use. Am I allowed to transfer this to Santander and then put the remaining £1000 in or is that classed as subscribing to 2 cash ISAs in one year?

Thanks!

You are allowed to subscribe to your current ISA. When you transfer your ISA from the Halifax to Santander, the Santander ISA becomes your current ISA (Halifax will close your ISA with it). So, yes, you can do what you say.

What you can't do is open the Santander ISA first, put your £1000 in, then transfer your Halifax ISA to Santander.
Wearing my other one today.

I would be reluctant to give much personal information over email since ordinary email is not secure.

Hi all,

A newbie here with a quick question about ISA transfer rules.

I've got 2 ISAs with Halifax, one with a larger amount which is 'inactive' and another which is smaller but 'active', in that it is the one which I've been adding money to each month in the 2012/13 tax year.

The smaller 'active' ISA has now reduced in its rate and the new rate they can offer isn't as great as I could get. I want to transfer this ISA to Aldermore who are offering 3.15% on a 60 day notice account (I'm aware I can get more at Santander but I'm not going down that route for various reasons:mad::rotfl:).

The question is, If I transfer the whole of my active 2012/13 ISA to Aldermore which contains a mixture of old money and about £2k worth of this years allowance will I then be able to pay in the remainder of my allowance to Aldermore over the remainder of this tax year? Or have I got to put the whole ammount into Halifax before making the transfer to Aldermore.

I can't find an answer anywhere I look.

Yes that's fine as long as the Aldermore one allows additional deposits - some ISAs only allow one deposit. If it doesn't then you won't be able to add anymore to it (you would have to transfer again to somewhere that allows multiple deposits).

It would seem on this account 60 day ISA notice account you can add up to this years allowance and also transfer in from other provider

Tax-free, straightforward interest rate - no hidden bonuses or introductory offers
Reassurance - the interest rates on our Notice Cash ISAs are guaranteed to be at least 1.65% above Base Rate** until 1 March 2013
Maximise your tax-free allowance - easily transfer Cash ISAs from other providers
Transparent - our competitive rates are not artificially inflated by bonuses or introductory offers
Fast and easy setup - open an account, complete identity checks and move your money in minutes
Accessible - open an account with just £1,000
Add to your tax-free saving whenever you like (subject to HMRC ISA rules)
