Thanks for quick answer.0

This may be a silly question, or perhaps just to early to ask (?). Do we have an idea yet of which banks and building societies are efficient/reliable transferring in and out cash ISAs? Or does the usual end of tax year ISA stampede distort the whole picture?
Thanks
The highest paying ISA transfer in providers are always going to be busy especially at this time of the year, if u pick one that backdates all interest to date that money leaves your existing ISA provider you lose nothing at all.
Examples are : Nationwide/Abbey/Halifax/Saffron BS0 -

I have a Platinum Plus ISA from CIS. I pay in £30 a month but just found out it is only paying interest of 2.5%. I rang them today and they said I could not transfer it only cash it in. Is this right?0

Hi, I have a Barclays tax buster ISA from last tax year which I put the full £3k into.
I want to transfer this to an A&L issue 4 ISA & then open a new Barclays Tax Haven ISA & deposit my £3.6k allowance this year.
The T&Cs regarding subscriptions on the A&L form don't seem to cover this & appear contradictory to me.
I'm sure I have this right but just wanted to check.
Like everything brought in by Labour they make it so complicated & riddled with rules just to put people off (tax credits, childcare vouchers). Then they send the funds by cheque between organisations, way to go Gordon, this is the 21st century isn't it?
Rant over.

Abbey's Direct ISA issue 2 will allow transfers in of previous years ISA's.
The rate is currently 6.25% for deposits of £1+ which includes a 1% bonus for 13 months. There are no penalties for withdrawals.
If you have an Abbey Direct ISA issue 1 (you took it out last year, or the year before) phone Abbey and ask them to transfer it to an Issue 2 ISA - as the rate is much higher.

Has anyone considered moving to the Lloyds TSB fixed rate ISA? Seems to be a nice rate Guaranteed as well, i am thinking about moving my money from HSBC to Lloyds unless there are any other places to look at?0

With a least one drop in interest rates expected in the near future, Im looking to transfer some of my instant access variable rate money (an amount I can tie up for 12 months) into a fixed rate one. Initial looks are about 6%(Cheshire, 6.1Nationwide). What rates have others seen?0

hi,
i have an ISA with hsbc with about £7k in it. i have already lumped this years allowance (£3600) into it a couple of days ago.
i have only just started looking into sorting out my finances and now realise i would be far better off with A&L however reading their form it would suggest that the minimum balance for their ISA is £1. What i would like to know is will A&L let me open an ISA today with nothing in it and then let me transfer my £7k in or do i actually need to start the account off with the minimum £1 (which obviously i wouldn't be able to do as i've already used my £3600 allowance)
any help appreciated!0
