Quick Questions on reheating

A friend of mine is a barbecue chef, and he used to do it that way, or when he was in a rush, he'd put it in a covered bowl in the microwave, with clingfilm, a couple of spoons of water and the sauce. Stir it halfway through cooking (shake the bowl a bit).
He'd reheat pulled pork all the time! Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Slightly off-topic but do you have a recipe? It sounds delicious!0

Thanks BargainBetty, I will give it a go tomorrow.
Grabs39, I loosely followed a recipe I found online. I did mine in my slow cooker.
Use shoulder cut of pork, as good quality as you can afford. I paid £2.99 for around 2kg but that was reduced.
Stick an halved onion in the slowcooker to stop pork sticking. Put pork on top of the onion in the slowcooker with a cup of boiling water. Put slowcooker on high and cook it for 5 hours. The pork should be pretty tender by now. Remove the skin, any visible fat and the bone if there is one. Empty the slow cooker of the fatty water and onion, put another cup of boiling water in. Whack pork back in and cook on high again for another hour.
After this hour, the pork might be starting to fall apart. For the sauce, I cheated and used ready made BBQ sauce although you can make your own. Add it in to taste, you don't want the pork to drown or be too dry. I think I used 1/4 of a bottle. I cooked on high again for another hour and a half.
At the end of the cooking, the sauce should turn slightly sticky and the pork will pull apart with two forks and very little effort! You might need to leave it in slightly longer depending on your slow cooker. Just make sure that you add water so that the pork doesn't go dry during cooking. Hope this helps!0 -

Can I ask about dumplings as these normally sit on top for 20 mins so would I put on after say 15?Happiness is wanting what you have...0

Sorry, I disappeared off! I tend to leave the little cardboard lid on whilst it's cooking as I normally just freeze the dumplings in with it. I would go with what you have put (add them after about 20) - sounds about right to me."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper

Thanks, I am normally organised enough to get things out to defrost but have a cold and head is foggy! Just was worried but you can buy frozen ready meals so logically it should be fine.Happiness is wanting what you have...0

I have some "5 minute simmer", ASDA packet soups, which I'd like to take to work, for lunch.
Unfortunately, there is no stove at work, only a microwave.
So, I'm wondering, is it possible to cook them in a microwave?0
