Abbey and A&L credit cards are both provided by MBNA, so they are going to be the same in terms of the statementing.
I too wish that card companies would show when your interest rate is due to change. Surely, though, it is covered by the bit which says "if you only pay the minimum payment, your interest next month will be £x" which is now required on all statements? Whilst you are on 0% it say £0.00. When you get to the end, it should say £££. So you know the end is nigh and to settle your bill PDQ.0 -
Whilst this isn't Abbey, some cards do detail when your 0% interest period will end.
Sainsbury's Bank do this. I don't actually think that it is something that is required in terms of these new regulations in regard to summary boxes etc.0 -
No, my Abbey card didn't say that -- and to compound the crime it also stated underneath that "interest rate for BTs is 0%"
I haven't yet had a reply from Abbey to my fax/letter. Will letcha know when I do.Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -
I have now had a phone call -- well, two phone calls actually, cos the first one was at an inconvenient time -- from Abbey/MBNA and after a bit of chat they've said they will refund the 28 quid interest! If you don't ask...Expect the worst & hope for the best...0
