I have just sold my first item on E Bay and have now had an e mail from E Bay to say I have sold item and to send an invoice. It is pick up only (furniture) but I am not sure how to go about issuing an invoice. Under the P & P, i have put collection in person and £0 against postage but keep getting this message

Invalid postage fee: Please enter a P&P fee of £0.00 or higher. What am I doing wrong? Can anyone help please?

Thanks for the above. Have just realised that maybe I should have put my address in the box for other information but I didn't so the buyer will not know where to collect from. Two questions - should I have put my address and if so I didn't, so how can I give these details to the buyer?0

Make sure that all your addresses are updated

When you send an invoice, the payment address is shown0 -
My address is correct so thanks for that. My only other question is would the seller be given my e mail to make contact to make arrangements for collection?0

How do I do this. Will I have his email somewhere? At the moment it says I am awaiting payment, so I presume I need to wait until payment is received. I am finding this selling on E Bay is so stressful, hopefully it will get easier next time. Thanks for your advice.0

They will probably want to pay cash on collection. Send them a message through ebay messages asking them to contact you to confirm collection date and time.0

If it's pick up then ONLY accept cash! Otherwise as you have no trackable proof they have recieved the goods they can claim non-delivery and get their money back off you! They can't do that if you have been paid cash however.DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I'm really only posting to reconfirm what tine says....cash on collection on is your best bet. If you offered cheques then make sure buyer knows you need to clear the cheque before you release the goods. Unfortunately, I did offer Paypal. I suppose I could ask them to sign a note to say they have received the goods? Have certainly learned for next time. This is a steep learning curve for me and thanks to all who have offered help and advice.0
