    cheers for the heads up.

    quick, possibly thick question: how when i click on a email link in firefox do i stop it going and opening up internet explorer and going to hotmail in there, can i change a setting or something so i can ignore I.E? Particularly as the address bar (where you type the web address) has totally dissapeared in IE and i hae no idea where its gone (any suggestions how to get it back as i need it occasionally?)

    Open Firefox. Click Tools>Options>general, then click the button that checks if Firefox is your default browser. If you set this, then anytime you need to open a web page from a link, it should open in Firefox.

    Try disabling all your extensions, then over the course of a day you can bring them back one by one to find out if one of them is not compatible with the new version.

    Have a look at this thread.

    What makes firefox beat all other browsers is the huge number of extensions you can plugin:

    You can also change the look with themes;
