So it's delayed... big deal, just wait another week. It's not like you paid for anything in it.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

I cannot believe the amount of moaning here about something that is free. Please guys, just get it in perspective, & appreciate whatever you get, whenever you get it! There are so many people around losing their jobs or struggling in some other way due to the current economic situation.....compared with this a late freebie does not seem a huge issue.0

I think this is a really horrible thing to say about someone we have never met!! How many other freebies have you applied for and have never turned up?? I know this has happened to me many a time. At least we have all had the courtesy of an email informing us it wouldnt come today but was still actually on its way soon.
I think the whole point of freebies is that it is a bit of fun and whatever we get is a bonus. In a time when a lot of people are worried they might not receive their next wage you would think people would appreciate things more.

Thank you Tim for letting us know it was not coming, a lot of people wouldn't have, they would have just dashed off early on Friday night leaving us to find out for ourselves.
The fact you have logged in today (Saturday) and you are reading the comments also shows you do care.
Appreciate also the people who were working late yesterday packing boxes or even standing by waiting to do so.0 -
Please read my email. I don't think my explanation qualifies me as "stupid".
And to people having a go at me for saying what a shocker its delayed.. it was meant to be light hearted as in its already been delayed once jeez you cant say anything on this forum wihtout your head being ripped off by the mse police.0 -
I didnt say your explaination was stupid I said what was stupid was people were getting theres when the whole thing was supposedly delayed...

lol, I think people are able to make up their own minds as to the tone of your response indelacio. Considering tim'd explained in his original post why certain people had received the boxes maybe you should have read it in full before moaning because you hadn't received some DVD fire or other
"There was a small number of boxes that we'd taken out of the system to check the addresses–including anyone who had sent me late changes to their addresses–that did make it into the system."0 -
So stamp your foot and have a tantrum and let the adults get back to the matter of having some fun.
Grow up!
stamp stamp stamp ooops I crushed a pixie sorry :-P
Seriousely a delay to everyone is a delay.. mine could still arrive the postie wouldnt come til 2pm anyway.. but if it does arrive and Ive been told its delayed thats even worse... either there is a delay or there isnt.. it should all be uniform either the whole thing was delayed or its going ahead.. and if its just they had a shortage and some boxes were delayed and not others then say that be straight and say it like it is thats more respectable.0
