Just incase this helps to clear up the last few queries, have quoted Tim Milnes latest posts. For those of you that don't yet know, Tim is Co-ordinating the Matter Boxes and and has got in touch with us all personally/directly via our freebies board to sort out confusion and explain matters, particularly as some e-mails (like mine!) get lost in the great ether! Hope this helps.

I had the idea for Matter many years ago. I could see that TV would change and that as digital media grew people would want real things in their hands. It took many years for that to look like a reality. We ran the original pilot to see if the concept had any merit. We thought a few people might hear about it, but what we wanted was to carry out some research and see if it was worth progressing.

We hadn’t planned for so many people joining while our plans weren’t fully developed. It took that long to get everything ready.

Matter is still quite radical and we have to convince advertisers to use it. It will get easier and boxes will become more frequent. Luckily, lots of people–including everybody here–has been very patient and supportive–as have Royal Mail who are very committed to it.

I'm about to publish some FAQ's on the site. But, if anyone wants to know anything, please just email me via the site.

No, you don't have to reply to the email–if you did get it–to get the box.

If you joined before 6:00pm on Sep 5th, and we have your correct address, you'll get the box on Nov 29th.

You can check your address on the site and change it if you've moved. It's vital that you keep that up to date.
