if its a hotmail address
click on the junk button which is at the top next to the delete button when you have opened the mail, it will put that email and all other emails from that address permanantly into the junk folder.

I have hotmail. I wish that worked! I religiously send each iniidual email to the junk mail box, then from there on to the "report as phishing scam" and I can honesly say its been a month now. And I hate to say it, ever since I regestered for the matterbox. Could be coincidence of course....

I have sent a very strong orded email to hotmail to complain about the junkmail filter not working. I had enough, I was about to close my (10 year old) account as I was just getting about 5 a day from the same admin@viagra.com. And always to my inbox, never ever sent to junk.

Reporting the mail to hotmil does nothing if its isted as a group I am joined to which I must have inadvertedly done somewhere despite ticking every box to NOT share my details with anyone. I only join something if I can elect this box, I am very careful. Somewhere along the line someone has sold off my details:mad:   - and by the sounds of it, I am not the only one!

Spam happens.

I created a new email less than a week ago, haven't used it at all yet, and it has spam. It's just a fact of life and the most we can do is learn to ignore it! Especially for hotmail/ msn/ yahoo addresses. You don't have to sign up for anything to receive spam.

Personally I can't see what the problem is, just delete it or ignore it, it doesn't hurt and they don't actually know who you are. But I find gmail/ googlemail has the best spam filtering, so may be worth signing up for an account. It's free and you you get 7GB+ so it's quite handy anyway.

Most spam comes from hotmail and yahoo addresses, and that's where most of it goes too as well. Gmail is good at filtering automatically, plus reporting emails as spam seems to work quite well.
