Big box full of great freebies from Matter(merged)

What's the problem? It's a free service being started up to try and change the advertising models of very big businesses, so of course it'll be slow and problematic - just imaging trying to convince Smith Kline Beecham to change their ways in this financial climate!! Also, if we who are receiving/yet to receive the boxes just moan about it and don't fill in the reply forms then the whole idea will collapse anyway ... rather self-defeating, surely?

I am working on the basis that if they do send anything out and it reaches me I shall be pleased and surprised, I shall give honest feedback and be grateful for the chance of some freebies in exchange for a little light form filling .... what's wrong with that?

It's like the mp4 london pad prizes. It said i'd won and that was that. I thought nothing else of it as knew it wouldn't just arrive the next day. Couldn't believe it when I went back to the thread and because people had waited a few weeks there was talk of it being a scam etc.. Unbelievable to say the least.

Anyway, I think people just get obsessed and greedy with these things and lose sight of the fact that at the end of the day it's free.

Ddraig the problem is that people such as myself signed up last summer and have heard nothing at all from the company in any respect.I wouldnt mind if they said you won't ever get anything etc.But I haven't even had that back from them.

I am used to not receiving freebies. About 80-98 per cent of freebies I sign up for never arrive but this company makes much on their website of things like everyone who signs up will recieve. Months later I have had not one email from them.

This may be a long shot, but how and when exactly does it get delivered?
They wouldn't have been sent out so soon?
It's just I got home from work to a missed delivery card behind the door....... as this is the biggest thing I have signed up to.
This was the only thing I could think of.

This thread alone's been read 163,449 times. I imagine that with the fact that it's free, a large percentage have applied so it'll take time.

Fair point Reverbe, I too have signed up to a few bits and bobs if relevant and haven't heard from some. Fair enough but I do have a problem with giving out my details, reveiving nothing and suddenly being spammed to death via my email address. Just hoping it doesn't start coming in the post too. :eek:

i signed up early last year and i got the box, someone said it wasn't very good, well i got a dvd free lovefilm trial a chocolate bar and showergel! i think it was really good! don't know what people are complaining about! it gave me a chance to try the new cadbury chocolate with cranberry and granola!!! very yummy indeed

In response to Rverbe, I received an email saying thank you for signing up and that something would be coming out in Spring. It's only just Spring now, so I'm not holding my breath. I hope that the company takes heart from the number of people who have received their communications and "presents". If I get something, I'll be grateful, if I don't and I end up with spam - well, that's what a spam filter is for and I can delete it quite easily. I never open attachements unless I have asked for them, so I think I'm safe. I may be just lucky, but it's worked so far ....
