I bought 3 big albums of mint stamps (not uncancelled) in a boot sale in Copenhagen, Denmark a few years ago. The albums were full of mint stamps and the price I paid for them, was between 20 and 25% of face value. The seller told me he bought the stamps at an auction. It looked like the stamps probably came from a dealer who went bust. Anyway his misfortune, my good luck! Besides UK stamps the albums also contained mint postage stamps from Isle of Man, Guernsey,Jersey and Gibraltar.
As a result, I haven't bought a stamp at full price since 2002. I always have stamps for our correspondance. Especially at Christmas time I get the albums out to frank all the cards my girlfriend writes. So every time we mail, say a second class letter, the real cost is around 5p! Still got at least another 3 years before I run out of UK stamps.

There are larger savings to be made from online companies who sell stamps at a discount to the face price, so when 1st and 2nd go up they will be even cheaper.
I have used https://www.discountstamps.co.uk many times in the past and had no problem, I send out stuff that I sell on ebay so it's a substantial saving for me. I know there are other companies as well, do a Google search. 2nd class are going from 24p to 27p, that's 12.5% on top of the original discount!!

You can also get 'points' for shopping in SuperDrug (and a few other highstreet shops) with MutualPoints.
I find it is a reliable clickthrough/cashback site, I recently cashed out £40 which took about 14 months to accumulate (as a comparison I joined YouGov at the same time and am only at £20 so far).0 -

Maybe someone could let us all know if they have worked out how to also get the 9% discount online by using Quidco as well - that would be circa 20% discount on April prices!
Tip on Superdrug instore (not stamps related). Having completed 1 survey, I never completed another - but simply write any old random digits on the till spit - It's always worked! I use something like FP5LV for the record.
Just to let evryone know this wont actually work in every store i work for superdrug and my store knows what code we are looking for!!0 -
My store doesnt have a scooby what code it is, so write any old thing in!0
