I voted hold, and think they will hold.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Voted for a Hold. Just because they won't want to follow the trend set by the Fed Bank in the US...rafraf03

Can we have 2 votes?
I voted -25 earlier on this morning as I think they will try to stop the red alerts.
Now I have thought about it more, I think that perhaps they will hold and see what effect the two drops by our friends over the atlantic will have on us.RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Voted down 0.25%
If they know the next move in interest rates is down, why wait?0 -
0.25% for me.
I think that they will want to be seen as doing something. Even those who might sensibly vote for a hold will probably see 0.25% as a compromise and allow themselves to be persuaded.0 -
Voted down 0.25%, I think they should hold but I know the city desperately wants a cut and the BoE doesn't like to disappoint the city so I guess that's what they'll get.0

I think -0.25 although I would rather a hold or a hike because im travelling to the states this summer and want more bucks for my money.0

I'm surprised hardly anyone's gone for a 0.5% cut. Remember the Fed cut by a massive 1.25% in the last two weeks.Guy_Montag wrote: »How many who voted for a cut in 2005 are still on the panel?
The August 2005 vote was 5:4 in favour of a cut.
Charles Bean, Kate Barker, Rachel Lomax, Paul Tucker and Big Merv are still on the panel.
Only the first two voted for the 2005 cut.
Poor Danny Blanchflower has voted for a cut at each of the last 4 meetings.
This spreadsheet is more interesting than it sounds:
