It does concern me you have to pay upfront. I remember the old 56k days when some companies were like this, problem was that there business strategy wouldn't work as they were too cheap and some lost a whole load of money. Hopefully this isn't the case with this company but I can't see how a company like this can charge so little, when some charge a whole lot more and then start kicking high users off. Personally I would rather pay more and get a good solid service, but others may disagree.
This point was actually raised on adslguide not so long ago. They said that they were sailing extremely close to the profit margin. On another site (cant remember which one but I will try to find it) they said they have the capping proceedures already built in to the terms and conditions and might just build up a large customer base with people telling others its uncapped then hit them with peak hour caps and no P2p usage so that they wont be making a loss on bandwidth hogs.0 -

Another more recent post states:
I hope E7 works out for everyone who's subscribed and paid the upfront charge.. if you look, their business model doesn't actually seem particularly bad.. they're not selling below cost as someone else has said above. profit margin looks a little tight, but not stupidly low.
I've been with them for nearly a year now and they have not gone bust or anything like that!

Sorry Margaret, margaret wrote:I didn't cancel Mike. THEY cancelled without warning but I am going to take them to the small claims court.
They were absolutely rotten to me and kept most of my money that I paid up front. I know of two others who had the same thing happen!
I thought from our conversations that you had told them that you wanted to cancel, and they went ahead and did it immediately (rather than waiting for the month notice period)
My memory is failing fast ;.)To infinity and beyond!0
