Hi
Last winter I tried the Food Doctor perfect start porridge (not on OS wagon at that stage!) and really enjoyed it. Saved the label so I could mimic the ingredients and make something similar myself. Now can't find it. Nor can I find the product in the shop to get it again.
Does anyone know if it's available in the shops anywhere? I have seen it Mail order, but delivery costs would be high for one item.

Tesco's do some Food Doctor products - so you could try an on-line shop (but don't check out) to see if they stock it.
Otherwise some health food shops also stock their products so you may find it in one local to you.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Thanks! I was in a shop in Northallerton the other week that had almost all that stuff, but hadn't got the list. I'll put it in my purse then start and gather it together. I don't subscribe to the Food Doctor thing (I wonder why?) but the porridge is a little more 'interesting' than value oats. I think she has put wood shavings in it though! Maybe I can find out which ingredient that is and substitute!
Am going to make granola today. Not embracing it entirely, but trying to go with the Glycemic Load thing. Has anyone else tried this? Not Glycemic Index (that's sooooo passe, dahling!) though."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I keep saving wrappers thinking "I'll have a go at that one day", must try and do that. I have a dairy free granola bar from a coffee place, a cranberry and pecan bar worked out and ready to try, found a starbucks granola bar recipe somewhere. Do you spot a common theme here?"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

I could see my £115 left dwindling rather quickly, except I do have a large bag of pecans and a large bag of cranberries that I got at costco a while ago. I'm not sure how I'm going to reconcile the odd visit to Costco on my grocery purse limit!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
