phone insurance claim

Hope this is the right forum for this question,

my son dropped his phone down the toilet and it is cabbaged, on reading his O2 insurance policy there is an exclusion that states
Occasioned on any waterborne craft less than three metres in
length or caused by or as a result of rust, humidity, damp
or corrosion;

Will he be covered for a claim??

Comments

  • This exclusion will not apply. Make the claim. He wasn't onboard a vessel and damp in this context means long term exposure to moisture in the air.
  • I hope you are right, i have read this over and over again, i dont want to invalidate a different type of claim (wink wink) as this is a very expensive phone and he has just started hi contract
  • They can only turn you down (but they won't, or at least not under this exclusion).
  • Panick over they accepted the claim, new phone out to him tomorrow

    :beer: :T :T :T
