Hi I'm looking for some advice. Has anyone ever had any experience with returning faulty goods to H Samuel?
My boyfriend bought my a jewelery set for my birthday in October and the clasp on the bangle has broken, I've only worn it a few times so dont think this is right. Unfortunatly my boyfriend doesn't have the receipt we know which branch he bought it from and I still have the full set in its original box. Should they repair this or do I not have a leg to stand on without a receipt? Surley its not normal for a clasp to break after 3 months.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

He paid cash, so no proof that way either. I wondered if they kept a record of sales.0

Have you actually asked them if they will repair it?Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0

Going in today with it, i just wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience.0

What about ringing up Head Office ,see what their take is on it? It depends on their Customer Service, but the problem they have is that they dont know when you bought it.It could be 2 years old.If it turned out it was a fairly new product, that might not be an issue.Just be very very polite and charming-see where that gets you.You may say to me"its obvious it is their stock",but they dont know if you havent bought it off Ebay,or when. Also it would be worthwhile ringing the store and checking a Manager is in,the Staff cant use discretion in the same way. The law says you need proof of purchase,so they dont have to do anything.Maybe as jewellry is often bought as a gift, they keep a seperate record? As youare asking for a repair not a refund, they may be willing to help.0

Just wondering why you chose to post it on the Consumer vent board if you haven't yet asked them.
A bit unfair I think.
Well to ease your "wondering" this was a mistake on my part, I am new to this and just thought I would ask as I have seen how helpful people can be. I am sorry if my posting in the wrong area has offended you.0 -

Glad its sorted OP!
If find your reasoning a bit strange. This is a consumer VENT board, H Samuel had done nothing wrong.
OP, you didn't offend me, it takes a lot more than that, but it seems I offended you by asking and I'm sorry. I'm glad you got it sorted.Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0
