Which handset - Nokia 6300 or Sony Ericsson K770i

Hi all

I've been given the option of a free Nokia 6300 upgrade or a Sony Ericsson K770i for one of my parents. They currently have a Nokia 6230, which has been a good phone as the battery life is decent, and never had any problems with the handset.

I'd like to know which of the two free upgrades I've been given you'd recommend and why please. I've read that the keys can stick on the Sony Ericsson and it's not great for texting. My mum just uses it for texting, calls and wouldn't mind a decent camera. She'd never use it for music or to surf the internet.

Hi I've had very bad luck with the nokia 6300 - bought one for hubby for xmas and in 3 days it went wrong so got an exchange for a new phone (same model) and 3 weeks later that went wrong too! both times same problem it switched itself off whist recieving something through bluetooth. so can't recomend that one sorry!

Hi. I own a 6300 and have used a k770i LOTS! Basically the 6300 is well built, great screen, and very easy to use. The k770i has a better camera (autofocus, lens cover, and LED flash) and better battery life, a great screen, but is a little wider and doesn't feel quite as solid as the 6300. Both are great phones. I love my 6300 but crave a better camera!
