Right to cancel - CPW/O2
Hi there everyone,
This is the first time I've posted as I can usually sort stuff out either through my own research or from the awesome advice that's on these forums but this time I need some help and clarification!
To cut a long story short I rang up CPW to cancel an existing, expired O2 contract. They offered my a deal which was pretty damn good - 200 free txts and Mins £30 a month with a £300 credit so essentially only £60. But I now realise that as this is a phone I only keep going for emergencies or backup that I don't want to be paying an extra £30 in November and Decmeber!
This was all done over the phone, so my question is: Do I still have rights to cancel this agreement without penalty under distance selling regulations?
O2 also have a 14 day cooling off period but I'm not sure if it'll apply.
Any advice would be warmly appreciated.
Thank you.
