Just had an e-mail from Tesco.com, you can pre-order the next Harry Potter book for £9.99 and receive it on publication day which is 16th July. Delivery is £2.74, but if you order more than £20 then there is a code to get the delivery free.
The list price is £16.99 so (with the free delivery) apparently a good deal.

That's one of the cheapest places - marginally cheaper (40p!) from WH Smiths. Amazon are doing it for exactly the same price inc del.
Someone posted previously that Tesco had a boxed set of the first 4 H.P. books at a good price too - the two items together would qualify for the free p&p code.0 -
Play.com are offering the book for £9.99 with free delivery on publication date

Amazon give you free delivery over £19 without any code.0 -
Oooh I feel embarrassed!! You're right - it's for £11.99, not £9.99. Although I'm pretty certain I did see it for £9.99 on the sites homepage, a few days ago.
Ah well - I'm sorry!!lulabell;)

When Order of the Phoenix was launched, I picked one up in Asda for £6.97 on launch day. They had stacks of them. Later that day in Tescos, they too were doing the same deal, and had loads.
I personally would avoid pre-ordering and just purchase one from any of the supermarkets on launch day. They will all be trying to out-do each other.Only 5% of those who can give blood, actually do!

If you haven't used amazon.co.uk before then get a friend who is an existing amazon user to send you a "refer a friend" voucher for £3 off your first order (they also get a £3 voucher when you use it !)!
If anyone needs gets stuck for one then by all means send me a PM and I will send you one, but I'm sure everyone knows someone who already uses amazon.co.uk and I'm sure they will be more than happy to send one and get themselves a voucher too !
If you are already a amazon user then try and find someone who isn't and send them a voucher and a link to this site pointing out the good price on the book !!!0 -
The Amazon £3 refer-a-friend gift vouchers can only be used on orders of £15+ I think.0
