Hi all
I've been invited to transfer my current account to FD for the £100 incentive.
Does anyone know how soon the £100 gets credited after you switch?
TIA

i have applied for it and the paperwork has come through.
It advises six months, and then if you close you get another ton. But they do say the help you get another bank?
I have just called them, about the salary/income credit issue. they say that it has to be a credit direct from your employer? or self employed. i was going to send in a bacs transfer from my current account, this website does not state it has to be from your empoyer.
can anyone advise on this?
thanks

If I was you I'd mandate my salary...especially if you intend going for the second £100 later in the year.

Thanks. I'm mandating my salary just in case, will probably just do it for two months.
I'm not holding on for the £100 on leaving FD, as I have no intention of leaving. I joined before the incentives came in because I wanted the Regular Saver, and the T&C say that if you leave and get the £200 you have to close ALL your accounts with them. £100 is enough for me, for an account I was going to open anyway

I looked at the letter they sent me, asking me to switch and there were two forms in there. One was to send to my employer to switch my salary and the other was for FD to move my SOs and DDs.
Trub is, I don't have any SOs or DDs to transfer, so I rang them up and asked what to do. I was a bit disappointed that the girl didn't even know about the promotion, let alone what I should do! Apparently someone will be calling me back, but I think I'll ring them again today and hope I get someone who was listening when they were being trained on this...

Do you have any other current account, if you have online banking, just go there and set up 3 or 4 £10 standing orders to either your other current account or saving account. I did that before.
Also there are some £1 magazine deal around, you can order one or two as well, then you have direct debit.0 -
As I understand it you don't need any Direct Debits or Standing Orders on your account to get the £100 incentive.0

Thanks... I kind of don't actually want any DDs, but will bear this in mind if they insist...

That's the problem, everyone will interpret the T&C differently...

On the website it says you don't have to pay to 10 pounds fee if you
hold a first direct mortgage, credit card, personal loan, savings account (* excluding Regular Saver Account), first directory, or first direct car or home insurance policy
What do they mean by savings ? I m guessing it doesn't mean £1 in an ESavings with them?
Also is the service that good ?
Thanks for any replies0
