Has anyone had their £100 yet? I had my March salary paid into the account so hopefully I'll have my incentive paid in soon (they said it would take up to 28 days)...

On the website it says you don't have to pay to 10 pounds fee if you
hold a first direct mortgage, credit card, personal loan, savings account (* excluding Regular Saver Account), first directory, or first direct car or home insurance policy
What do they mean by savings ? I m guessing it doesn't mean £1 in an ESavings with them?
Also is the service that good ?
Thanks for any replies
It includes a quid in the eSavings.
They win quite a few awards for their customer service, and I was very shocked when applying with them to be able to get through to a human on the first ring. Impressive.0 -
I was pleasantly surprised by that at first, but the other day it rang for ages and then I was put in a queue, and I've had problems logging into Internet banking lately, so the service is obv not consistent.

I've had the £100 pounds incentive for joining.
Allthough I had to contact them as it hadn't shown up after 28 days. Got a reply saying it would be paid in and it turned up a few days later.
I've not had any problems logging into their Internet banking.0 -
I also didn't get the incentive after 28 days, so I sent them a secure message from online banking and they apologised, saying it should've been automatically triggered. The guy told me it'd be another 28 days but I got it within the week.0

I was pleasantly surprised tonight. Just logged on my 1st direct account to find £100 incentive credit in my account. Account opened on 25 Feb, transfer £1500 from my Cahoot account to 1st direct account on 6 Mar. The incentive was credited on 16 Apr. No more payment in account since 6 Mar, because I thought I would not get the incentive.0

I took up the First Direct offer and my first salalry check was paid into the account at the end of March. However, my £100 has not appeared in my account. I have contacted 1st Direct by secure emessage to receive an apology stating:
"I can confirm that this criteria has been met, however the incentive has not been paiid. Please accept our apologies. I have activated the incentive for you and it will credit within the next 28 days."
Basically, nothing wrong with the offer that I can see but it looks like you may need to chase them. I wonder if I have them under breach of contract? Should I wait 28 days or insist that they pay immediately?0 -
I finally got my incentive today. Had to work quite hard to get them to agree that I was eligible even though I had no DDs or SOs to transfer. As a result I transferred my salary without using their transfer team and had my March salary paid in. Rang them on 29th April asking where my incentive was, they said they'd look into it. A couple of days later they rang and said that it would be credited in 28 days. Got it today.
So, they got two months' salary out of me and now I've told work to switch it back to my Halifax account!
I won't be trying to get the £100 leaving incentive as I have a regular saver there which doesn't mature until November.
