Boots - Points Bonanza Continues... II

After reading all the positive posts about Boots points, today i picked up a card. Trouble is it's a temporary one (cardboard) till they send a proper one out, which apparently will be in about 5 weeks. I brought cucumber things, thinking I'd get lots of points, but didn't.. where did I go wrong there? Was I supposed to get vouchers too?
Am I right that all these extra points are only availaible if i get the vouchers out the machine.. which more than likely won't take a tiddly temporary card?!
Grr.. I'm trying really hard to chase up some of these great deals you all spot.. argos... sainsburys.. and amount to ZILCH!

advantage_card, i think one of the keys to being a moneysaver is not being fooled by the shops "feeling posher" or getting you to feel "loyal" to them.

everyone has different priorities for their life and what they think is important to spend things on, but what would you really prefer to have in a couple of years' time - a nice wad of cash, or the experience of having shopped in a "more upmarket" place...?

I mean, we go there to buy shampoo and suchlike. Does it really matter *that* much what the ambience of the store is like? Do we even spend enough time in there to *notice* the ambience?

Yep, you need vouchers from the machines to get bonus points. Sometimes that advantage card health and beauty magazine has some voucher but as the main Leicester store seems to have had no stock for months or just every time I go in there. I wouldn't be able to tell you what vouchers were in there. >:(

Put my card in today and i got 100 - 125 and 150 points today

And boots had been re-stocked just couldn't help myself to a few cucumber products. ;D ;D ;D
Then hubby and i went and spent the points.

Remember what I said about offers just jumping out in front of me - oh dear, well I have just spotted another gob-smacking deal, only I am gonna keep scthum with this one as I want it to be on and not withdrawn when I get my card back in Dec!

Pleeeeeaaasssseeee tell us as I reaaallllyy need some more points for a DVD Recorder desperately!!!!  Pleeassee it will save me begging.......anymore.  If you dont say I will have to run down to the local Boots and rummage through that store until I find something....which will probably be never and then I will forget to pick the kids up from creche/pre-school and bad things like that!!!!  Plleeeaaassee (BEGGING AGAIN!!)
