    Hi dmg24

its not budgetting advice i need ! I know how to budget - if there is enough money to budget with :)

I just wondered if it was a big no no to tell the CC's that you are struggling ? in the past I have borrowed more to keep up with payments, for fear of damaging my credit rating .

any one know what "Actually" happens ?

You already admit there is a shortfall in the budget to accommodate your present commitments. Seems to me you have no choice but to speak to your creditors. I know with credit cards companys if an arrangement is made then it will be noted on your credit file.

    Hi

I am in the same situation.

Does anyone know 1st hand, what actually happens if you start telling the card companies that you cant pay them ?

I went to CAB , but was basically told I wouldn't get any help until I defaulted.

Please please ask on the debt free wannabe board - they will have a load of advice for you!

My impression is that it depends on different companies, some will be ok and some will harass you but the DFW people will know if you give them specific names...
