new heating system, knocking pipes

I had a heating system fitting about five months ago but recently noticed a knocking sound which has now become pretty annoying. I've done some reading on the internet & noticed that people often get it when the boiler fires up but I get it constantly whilst the heating is on. I have bought a radiator key & released the air from the radiators but it has made no difference at all. Any idea???????????

  • have you tried checking the water pressure gauge on the boiler?
If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of payments.
  • the problem with that is that I don't have a gauge as such but have a kind of screw on the pipe that is turned with a screw driver. I have no idea which way to turn it to lessen the pressure & didn't know what damage it would do by turning it the wrong way. The only dials I have on the boiler (Potterton) is for the water temperature
