Is switching to EBIco worth it?

Ebico are coming up cheapest for us and most of the reviews that I've read for them are positive. Anyone any idea how much they are aiming to increase their prices by?

Still cheapest for me too, alkip, waiting until end of March before deciding. Probably no more than the rest...15/17%.

Just for info, I received a reply to an e-mail I sent to Ebico asking about how much they were going to put their prices up March, the reply said "we're not reviewing our prices at this time":(

I wanna know *spits out dummy*. We're with BG who we've had a couple problems with since we went back to them but on the whole they've been quite good however I just want the best deal for us and, if it comes from a decent company, then all the better.

Ebico are sending me an information pack so if I find out any more I'll post it up in it's own thread as I've hijacked this one enough.

my hubby has just phoned and was told we are better off without having that discount because apparently the tariff we are on 'equigas' as its not the same tarrif to be on to receive the discount can anyone confirm that this is correct

I think some confusion has arisen, equigas only have one tariff, no discounts, or hidden extras. Which is what makes it easy to understand

The care tariff may refer to Southern or some other supplier?

you stay on the same tariff as you have always been on but it depends which part of the country you live in I am in the northeast so I pay 2.590p a unit for gas and 9.900p a unit for electric then with the care tariff they take off 20% now I don't know if this is each unit or the whole bill also I have just gone on to 6 monthly bills (well I did 6 months ago) so once a year a man will come to read the meter's and once a month on the 1st I will give them a reading online that way the bill's are always upto date and not estimated...:D

I am with them for electric because i know where i stand, i pay the same ammount for each unit i use.

Hi Ice,

When I spoke to Scottish Hydro Electric re getting this tariff for my mum they said that my mum would have to come off the "Price Fix 2008" tariff that I had originally moved her onto a few weeks prior to me phoning them.

They explained that the energyplus care tariff has its own pricing structure with the 20% discount applied???

The information I have been given sounds different to what you have been told. I might need to phone them on Monday to clarify this.

we are in the n,east also, and the gas is £2.59 but it says the elec is £9.78 (on their site) how is yours £9.90? ... yours though sounds similar to ours apart from the differ in the elec, so i wonder why we cant get the care tariff do you think we should query it again
