I have an MDA Compact and find it useful to access the web when on the move. There's nothing better than seeing, say, a DVD or CD in HMV and checking play.com while in the store and placing an online order there and then! Great for checking reviews etc. while in PCWorld to make sure the expensive item you are about to order is as good as they say it is.

Nationwide offer an online banking service specifically for PDAs. I think they are the only bank to do this. Have a look at http://one-link.de?93BI2M2D for more info. The service is excellent in that the web pages are tailored to the small PDA screen and are not graphics intensive, saving on bandwidth.

The Nationwide service, of course, works with any PDA, Palm or Windows Mobile as long as you can connect to the internet from the device in question.

BTW, Why on earth wouldn't this forum let me use a !!!!!!! (tie nee you are el) It even blocks the actual word!

For keeping a record of my spending I use Spb Finance - it allows me to consolidate transactions when they appear on my statement and applies standing orders and direct debits automatically when they are due. I always know where I am to the exact 1p. If you spend like I do that's essential!!
