Pinkydinkdo, I'm guessing that this being super-careful isn't the approach that led to the debt so if I were you I would give myself a big pat on the back for being so aware now of the value of £12. Maybe it just needs time to find the happy medium between keeping control of the reins and having some scope to relax and the panic you are feeling natural when you are learning a new approach to your finances. To my mind it sounds really positive (but still hope you managed to enjoy the grub...or that you learn to as time goes by and things get easier).

yEAH I DID ENJOY, i suppose once in a while a little extra helps, this was our first takeaway this year. I'm so determined not to be beaten by debt and i hate giving these companies any of my money.20p Savers Club total £67.00:T

I find that if I deprive myself for something for too long it makes me resentful & I end up splurging. There is nothing wrong at all in treating yourself every so often, if you don't, the debt you have & trying to clear it will just end up consuming your life, and i don't think its a healthy position to be in. Its good that you now see the value of £12, but don't fret too much about it.0

I have a voucher for 50% off 50 quid's worth of Dominos pizza. I fully intend to use it even though it will cost me 25 pounds. Every now and again a treat is nice, I had a subway today cos I fancied one and I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I hope you enjoyed your dinner, cooked and served by someone else.0

I can think of worse things to spend my money on other than lovely, atmosphere-creating-cosy-making-sweet-smelling Yankee candles and a good old finger lickin' KFC! You're both doing great.

I cannot be bothered with pizza takeaways now as Asda make your own are just as good and a hell of a lot cheaper.0

I don't really like Asda pizzas. 0
