Good luck getting your sky+ boxes... I was overcharged for 10 months and it took a full 2 months to get online when I moved home as Sky messed up the order. I'm only at this address another few months so there's no chance I'll do the whole "Sky moving home" thing again. They did refund the overcharge eventually and gave a credit but only after writing to James Murdoch's office (seemingly the only place where things get sorted).
As I tell all the major companies, if you give away a free piece of cake with every coffee, then even people on diets are going to eat the cake. And if they need any further advice, they call me on 0870... where I put them on hold, hang up after 10 minutes, make them call back and then wait another few minutes before passing them to the person they need to speak to. Yes, I'm fluent in two accents.After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.0 -
ive always found sky ok its abit annoying if your trying to get thru and hanging on but you can always e mail customer services for free.
I wouldnt be without sky tv its great love all the sport and films i understand the frustration though when dealing with companies. The best thing is not to take advantage of offers if you can help it. You live and learn i know.:footie:0 -

Avoid Sky at all cost. They are the worst company I have dealt with. I have to phone them nearly 50 times in the last 7 months about various issues and all I have suffered is arrogance, disdain and a massive phone bill for calling their 0870 numbers.
Their senior supervisors promised me repeatedly to refund the huge cost of me having to call their 0870 numbers through no fault of my own (cos of their useless installers) and, although I said 7 times I didn't believe them and they swore they would, three months later I haven't received a penny back.
7 months since I set about getting Sky, I have no TV signal or Sky telephone line.0 -
when you say avoid sky, i wouldnt want to i want sky tv. There is no other sky.
Have you sent them your phone bill they might refund if you send bill in and highlight the calls to them.:footie:0 -
I reccommended about 3 people on here I never saw a thing off them and I don't even know if the other people did either...waste of time...:mad:
I referred two people, and did get all the vouchers (£100) about
6 weeks after calling the claim line.
cant knock it really I am a £100 up for doing very little
