Need a rant.
Applied online through Sky's introduce a friend promotion last nov (07) and introduced a friend. They received their new shiny FREE sky+ box and was told that i would receive an email about my shiny new FREE sky+ box. Have since heard sweet fa since and despite endless phone calls and emails (that don't send and get sent back) I can't get hold of anyone within the massive sky corporation to help or acknowledge that I have a problem. I have now been told to write a letter and send it recorded delivery, problem with that is that the address I've been given is a PO Box!! Does anyone think I'll get what they advertised??? Think I've more chance of walking to the moon :mad: :wall:

Try emailing the big guy at Sky, it worked for me over another issue I had.

Just to let people know before they join up.......
I've been waiting since November for my vouchers from Sky for getting my sister to join and so is she.
We have had a variety of excuses and lies from them about it and we were interviewed by a reporter from BBC'S Watchdog tonight and this will be shown on Monday.
If you have had problems as well or better still if you are lucky enough to have received your vouchers i'm sure Watchdog would like to hear from you so go to their website and email them or phone them.
Hopefully they take notice as my vouchers were meant to pay for xmas dinner0 -

I would contact watchdog about this if i were you, the lady who came round earlier to see me said there had been quite a few complaints.

Kwaker501 - I'm in the same situation as you! But the other way round - I introduced a friend, got my sky+ box a month later and they're still waiting for theirs!!
When my friend placed the order sky said to place it for a standard box and it would be upgraded when the engineer came to fit it. He brought the standard box and said that because the offer had been so poplular they'd probably run out of sky+ boxes and would come to install it on another day. Despite me ringing sky, and writing to the address in Livingston, my friend's still waiting.....

Emailed watchdog in a fit of pique. Received a phone call from a researcher asking me to send them all my details in an email/fax. Sent email, asked them for a fax number to send them the documents, and heard nothing. Emailed again and got a reply today saying that due to time constraints they couldn't include me but were doing a bit on Sky on Monday. I'll tune in, but still don't think that I'm gonna get what I'm entitled too. I hate faceless corporations (although that email address is gonna get it!!!)0

I reccommended about 3 people on here I never saw a thing off them and I don't even know if the other people did either...waste of time...:mad:

Crikey!!! After posting on here yesterday, and then e-mailing watchdog I got a phone call from SKY at 12:45 today, all anxious cos they've not been able to get my friend on the phone this morning to arrange installation of their SKY+ box!!!!
Must be my letter writing skills

I rang Sky today to chase up my vouchers.
I`ve been waiting since last November. Spoke to a lady who gave me this number and told me it`s the priority phone number to call about introducing a friend problems. Rang 0800 0964 474, got straight through and will be getting a call back later to sort things out.

I waited 8 months for broadband which never arrived. I wrote 6 letters of complaints, special delivery, and got 1 response! I was given an activation date of October and then 8 months later, I cancelled with no broadband. I was offered £10 compensation. STAY AWAY FROM SKY! We have since cancelled their TV and a credit card we had with them, and it was only then they begged us to stay, where I happily said, Thanks but no thanks.0
