  • My solicitor called today while i was out. apparently my dh is no longer working in the restaurant he was working in and they won't tell any forwarding information (helpful) if they know it.......
    so, has he
    1) got another job somewhere else?
    2)gone back home?
    3) been deported? (i have informed the border agency of the split and reasons why)

so now we plan to serve the divorce papers at court next tuesday in person. apparently this means we can proceed whether he accepts it or not - assuming he turns up of course.

he was definitely still in the country last week as he turned up at court as required.

the cost of serving the papers in person will impact on my op's this month but what the heck. will be worth it to know he has received them.

    ho hum.
    po xx

Hell, a crowd of us will do it for nothing :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • well the visit to the lawyer cost me another £300 on account. i'm guessing it's worth it to be rid. felt very sad going there but it has to be done. i've had a look at the bank account and it's not that healthy now - at least feb is a short month!
I'm going to have a real cheap week on the shopping - very structured meal plans and lots of 'basics'. going to try to keep it to £15. anyone got a good recipe for a sausage casserole? i have sausages that need eating!
i should also be able to walk to work at least two days this week which is good.
need to get back to doing piggyclicks too - haven't done any for ages.
anyway - that's all for today - have a happy one!

  • For cheap winter sausage meals I either do a gravey type sauce (in same pan after frying off the sausages) with onion and mushrooms, then put the sausages back in and simmer for a bit. Or I add a tin of toms, chopped carrots/peppers and simmer. Both good with mash to mop up the sauce.

It sounds like a bumpy ride this court malarky but the light at the end of the tunnel is so close now!

    Sausage casserole:

1 onion chopped into slices and sweated off
    Sausages browned first

Then throw into a casserole dish with baked beans, tinned tomatoes, herb of your choice, chopped carrots par bolied first and if needed a bit of veg stock. Cook in oven for about 20mins in a medium heat. Serve with scrummy mashed potatoes or baked spud.
