  • Application letter and CV ready to go in before 5.00pm deadline tomorrow.

Just need to wait for interview date as I have been led to believe everyone will be interviewed as it's an internal appointment. I think four have applied for two jobs......need to swat up interview questions over Christmas.

Good luck PO! Here's a poser for you - I used to ask this in the bad old days when I had had staff:

'While I go over what I've asked you (i.e. make sure I've asked all I needed to so HR don't shout at me ;) ) can you have a think and tell me what strengths you have which we have not explored during this interview'.

I'm sure you'll do well PO as things are going your way so you'll have extra confidence :T and you're obviously well capable of achieving more.

BTW - all those who interview for staff - don't you think there should be an ejector seat for interviewees you can use after 90 secs when you know they don't stand a cat in hell's chance :rotfl: .
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Hope you get an interview:D
  • Interview 9th January - day before 'ahem'th birthday! (It's not one with a zero on the end, but they're all 'ahem' these days.)

That'll mess Christmas up nicely - need to swat up on all new curriculum issues from foundation to KS4.

    Oh joy!!!!

Poppy, I'm sure you can plan the work just like your other activities so that you can still enjoy the break and also get some work in early so it is not an "open loop" nagging at your conscience.

Very best wishes for the interview, you have the ability, just mind map all your attributes against the requirements of the post and it'll help you to picture how you'll bring this together in the questioning.
