Maybe your house used to be the georgeous assisant of a magician that did the cut the lady in half trick?
Cracks are only a problem when they become really wide, even then 99% of the time its nowt to worry about.
Someone on here a year or so ago posted a piccy they took of their house that had a crack that yopu could have driven a ford cortina through without scratching the paint

We've had lots of cracks appear after about a year in our 1930's house. It was re-plastered before we moved in. We had a structural report before buying so we got the same guy to come back. He thought they were shrinkage cracks and the house 'adjusting' to a 2 yr old extension on the back of the house. They've been monitored since start of Nov 07 and thankfully they don't seem to be getting worse, some small new ones have appeared but it seems ok. It's been really worrying though and i'm still checking them too often:o .
Good luck, hope it's nothing to worry about.0 -
