Hiya,
I've spent £10 exactly this week - once you include the £5 I 'lent' to a friend which I know I'll not see again. From now on I'm not lending money to people - they forget about it then I end up seeming all petty asking for it back.
Anyway - £20 for me please Pap for this week.

Hi guys, Im interested in this challenge as any method of keeping tabs on my spending has to be good.
What sort of things do you include in your spends though? I cant think of anything I have bought this week that hasnt been justified or budgeted.
For example this last week or so, I have spent money on petrol, groceries, new shoes for DD a puzzle for DS and clothes for them both. I have a monthly petrol budget, grocery budget and kids clothes / shoes / toys budget (although that got blown for Jan). DH bought some DIY stuff which is essential but we dont have a DIY / household / maintenance budget so would that count? I guess also car park money. Or maybe Im spending money and not noticing and thats the problem.
I might note absolutely everything this week and add it up, then set a target next week. In which case I will do Sunday to Saturday as I see no benefit in having a day off.
You do not have to have the same target each week..... for example, if one week u know u have a 'big' spend thats not budgetted for.... a one off train ticket for instance, u can increase ur target for the week. If u know that u only have budgetted things to buy during the week (food/fuel/bills/kids things etc) then u can set yourself a low amount.... For example, this week I am on hols, and have no un-budgetted spends planned, so my target is £10. Last week I knew I was gonna end up subbing OH, so I set my target higher, to £25.

Hi guys
I didnt actually post a target last week but did manage to stick to the target i had set myself. i lost my way a bit in jan so trying to get back on track as i desperately need to stop buying those silly things that amazingly add up but then have nothing to show for it. i find i can control myself more when i post and think about the NSD's and see what i'm spending in black and white.
Could i join back in please, aiming for £30 this week.

Morning everyone.
Back of holiday and should be back to work today but came down with the horrible sickie bug. Feeling much better today, just really tired.
Anyhoo - I'm aiming to spend as little as possible this month as I've a huge oil bill to pay so £20 this week for me - £10 of that is for my dd's lunches.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

Oh dear - I hold my head in shame!!!
Even though I had budgetted to buy paint today I hadn't budgetted for:
Curtain pole: £17.99
Outside hose gun: £17.49
Light fitting: £26.98
Wallpaper for DS' bedroom: £14.70 (mind you, this was a bargain as it had 75% off and was reduced from £19.99 to £4.90 per roll - so couldn't leave it there as really wanted it when it was full price, but couldn't justify £20 per roll - so pleased I waited!)
Set of 3 tables for front room: £39.99 (should have been £79.99)
Fry up in greasy cafe for moi and OH: (£6.40)
So
Total spend £103.55 over budget and its only Monday!!!
So forgive me all for I have well and truly sinned. I will try and make the rest NSDs and at least that will be my pennance!!:oWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. I need to be very very red, since I kinda overspent by £100. But it was on an OU course, so it's not too bad.
I'm going for £10 again, but I'm already half way there after one dayMurphy's No More Pies Club #209
