Welcome all...
I hope you have had a great week and kept it low... and are you ready to be turned red/green? Everyone can join, just post a target in keeping with you/your debts/your spends, don’t worry about everyone else’s budgets. Then each day post on the daily spends thread and add them all up ready to post the following Saturday/Sunday. The challenge runs from Sunday to the Friday... Everyone welcome... Please don't worry if you have gone over budget and will be turned red it happens... to me more than anyone else.
Have a great week

Last weeks thread ~ http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=708307&highlight=moozies+weekly+challengeGood afternoon lovely DFWs
Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else.
Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

Morning - I had £2.19 left from my twenty this week so please turn me green. Going for £20 again this week please.
Thanks0 -
Hi PaP - I think I can be green as I *think* I only spent £1!!!
Hurray!!! I think this is the first week I've ever managed to be successful.
Now, next week I'll be going across to my mum's which will either involve extra petrol or a train ticket, so I'll put my spends at £30. I also have to pay postage on a couple of items.
I really can't go over £30 so finger crossed!

Meh... overspent, £30
No excuses apart from laziness and too many 'lets go to the pub' evenings after work. Got £20 in my purse so I'll try for that again this week

Hi Pap and everyone.... I managed to get bang on £25 this week, even managed to put a bit of change into the change pots! And that was with subbing OH again!
I'm on hols this week, and can't think of anything particular I need, so I'll go back to £10 this week please.'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0 -
Hi All ... Came in with an underspend of £1.80 - Yahoo!!! Mind you, not quite sure whether I'm cheating or not as we had a takeaway on Friday night (£18.80), OH spent on tools (£48.77), I also had to given DS dinner money (£10). Should I be including these in my spends or not? DS dinner money is covered in budget, OH doesn't normally spend very much at all, but had to buy some tools this week and takeaway came out of 'extras' budget - please advise!!! Many thanks - once I know the answer to my question, I will set my budget next week accordingly - also does this include food and petrol, which are already budgetted for? When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0

Sue anything that is budgetted for ~ ie school dinners/car maintance/petrol/food in your monthly budget then that doesnt count. If however you didnt budget for a takeaway then thats what the weekly budget is for. The same as if you oh has his own seperate weekly budget that wouldnt count. Its anything that isnt previously budgetted for or anything unessacary. I think everyone interprets the 'rules' differently anyways as i budget for crickets but i add them into this challenge iyswim...0 -
Woo! Nothing spent at all this week!
I'll go for £10 again I think.
