I have only been on this forum a few weeks, looking through this post and others i have quickly come the conclusion many are just looking for an argument.

    NO THEY'RE NOT

I couldn't agree more I find this thread in particular quite aggressive, I don't mind hearing debates and view of other people as thats the whole point. But some people on here start insulting ..
  • Thanks for the link.
Incorrect information given to the buyer through your solicitors, or mentioned to the buyer in conversation between you, may mean that the buyer can claim compensation from you or even refuse to complete the purchase.

    Zoebeth.

I've been in a similar situation as a seller (I complained repeatedly about a neighbour when I was a naive FTB'er & didnt appreciate the consequences).

What I did was to have lengthy conversations with my very understanding solicitor. She told me that if you fail to neighbour disputes, when asked (and you will be asked) and they can prove thereafter that there was disputes, then they can potentially claim a MASSIVE amount of money back through court.

The way forward is to cover yourself legally, but not make a huge song & dance about it. Clever wording is what is needed.

You need to speak to your solicitor and tell her EVERYTHING, he/she will know what is relevant, and what is not. Many things you might think are relevant are not. ONGOING disputes are relevant. A clash of personalities with you and your neighbour ARE NOT (etc).
Must say - I haven't read the entire thread (should be working! :)) so apologies if i'm off the mark!).

    Best of luck
