Depends on how portable you want it, the Casio is the worlds smallest camera with zoom (i think) and has a few more features over the Samsung like tracking focus which is handy and you will get more video on your card , the Samsung is alot larger, pixels arnt everything more pixels can lead to noisy pictures

i dont care about it being that protable (worlds smallest camera just sounds like a gimmic? could be wrong)

but i just want the best for my money, the samsung looks great, stylish etc

but in terms of quality is the casio better? movies and pictures?

if you dont mind me asking...how do you know so much about camera's anyway?

    what do you own yourself?

    thanks for your help mate

Ive currently got the Casio Z1080 which is an excellent camera if you can stretch a wee bit more http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135586

Its got a large CCD sensor so the images are very good (large sensor less noise) and hardly any noise at all in the photos even in low light, it seems to get rave reviews everywhere, ultimately thats the one i would go for

    thanks

it looks ok, probably not as stylish as the samsung, but who cares.

if you've already got one, and you can vouch for it, then thats as good as review as you'll get!!

i cant see the amount of memory included? is it 2gb?

i dont mind an extra £20 if its worth it

i dont know much to be honest, but i always associated casio with calculators and as a somewhat "cheap brand" are they really this good??

    No memory included

Casio invented the digital camera BTW , they do have a lot of good cameras out with some advanced features.

I can upload a couple of pics if you like to see the quality

    Its £117 :)

I use a 2gb card and that suits me fine but when i bought it 4gb cards were very expensive, they are now very cheap if i had the choice i would get 4gb now

    2gb is £4.49 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123402
    4gb is £8.44 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/144283

I will upload some pics in a little bit

Ok here are some samples (hope link works)

    http://picasaweb.google.com/deanos102/Z1080

They are only half the original size if you want to see full size i can email them over, piocassia have compressed them so they dont look quite as good as the originals, if you look at the house pic you can see the detail took inside the windows, and the colour of the slide outside, whatever camera you choose look at the far edges of the photo to see how shapr the lens is , some cameras will blur around the edges.

All pictures were took in AUTO mode
