House we are buying said sold on rightmove now its on the market again?

Does the agent have to tell us if the property is being marketed or is this a common glitch. the EA doesnt have a proper website and uses rightmove to advertise all properties.

went to EA shop and the property we are buying is also in the window, sounds like they are trying to get a better offer.

surely EA cannot put properties back on the market without telling the purchasor?

They can do what they like if you let them. I would always make my offer conditional on the house being taken off the market.

suggest you go back to estate agent and tell them this ..... with buyers drying up they should sit up and take note!

    I would contact the vendors!
Should have a bit more of an impact than from a buyer who may or not buy.

I wouldn't trust the vendors at all now, and would walk away.

there's no telling what they might do further on into the process, if they are prepared to go back on the original conditions of your offer, without informing you.

    Hi.

What did the EA say when you asked them about this?

The vendor might not know. Do not assume anything. Ask the EA and ask the Vendor.

If both answers are not sensible then withdraw offer and look again. You might find a new similar place for less. Prices are falling ya know....
  • Ask a friend to call in, or phone up askling to view the property to check the EA is still ACTIVELY marketing it (sometimes getting SSTC / reomved from websites takes a while and they leave properties in the EA windows to give the impression they have lots of houses on their books when they don't).

If the EA is still actively marketing then they can only be doing this on the instructions of the vendor who either i) didnt understand your conditions, or ii) they have willfully ignored your conditions.

What you do depends on whether you believe this is an innocent misunderstanding or if there is more malice in their intentions.

If you have spent no money on solicitors or surveys to date and are unhappy just pull out and make it clear why to the EA.

Did they accept a below asking price offer from you? Do you have reason to think they may be seeking better offers?
