I agree, my grandparents never had any debt except their mortgage, they managed and saved well and retired at 55. Sadly I was offered a credit card when i was 18 and my debt went from there, only now at 30 have I stopped, gone on a DMP and paying it all back. I will never have credit cards/loans again, not just whilst I am on the DMP, but ever.

It may be me, but everything seems to cost so much more these days, but sadly wages dont seem to go up so quickly.

I am proud to be able to start paying off my debts, and this will be slowly, but I am worried about what will happen in the future, surely either wages will have to go up, or the cost of everything will have to come down?

House prices are supposed to come down soon but everthing else seems to be going up. Last year I could do a weeks shopping with £30, this year I'm struggling to cover everything with £50.
